Tina Hillstrom is a small-time Minnesota “businesswoman” turned “actress” who seems to turn up at high-dollar functions and fundraisers. Her husband, Dr. Brad Hillstrom, has financed Tina through all of her failed ventures from interior design to her latest failure, B-list actress. Together, the pair also help to bankroll and fundraise for conservative candidates across the country. They both fashion themselves to be conservative kingmakers cavorting with some of the worst candidates that the Republican party has to offer and connects them with other frauds and scammers. The Hillstroms are frauds that seem to think that they are celebrities. They love to host others and flaunt their wealth, but it is becoming that their efforts are desperate attempts for attention.
In the United States in 2023 it seems like anyone can be famous and well connected despite how untalented you might be. If that is the American dream nowadays, Tina has certainly found it. Tina and her husband, Dr. Brad, are from Minnesota. Tina’s past is a bit muddy, but hearing her tell her story she seems to be all over the place with where she has come from. Similar to George Santos, Tina has no problem creating a fiction for herself and trying to sell you on it. Before you can catch her in one tall tale, she has another one for you. Tina claims to have made a fortune as an award-winning interior designer in Minnesota but there isn’t much in the way of proof that you can find regarding her successful enterprise. At some point she and her husband came out to Beverly Hills and she latched on to Southern California like a parasite. Tina can be found drinking and partying at every club in Hollywood and Beverly Hills claiming to have made connections with actors, wealthy entrepreneurs, and reality television stars.
Everything that Tina has is a credit to her husband, Brad. She has found a way to co-opt his wealth to a lifestyle of endless dreaming but never accomplishing anything. She has claimed that she is a successful film producer and claimed the documentary, Michael Moore Hates America, was the first film that she has ever produced. You will not find her in the credits at all of this film. You will see her husband, Brad, as one of the investors for the film. Tina claims that her initial “foray” into film has provided her the passion for showbiz and since then there isn’t a crappy borderline pornography film that Tina hasn’t found an audition for. She has become, instead of just a do-nothing socialite, a barely employed D-list actor with acting credits for films like A Mini Movie, Toasted, and Haunting of the Innocent. Let’s just say that the academy won’t be reviewing these films any time soon.
Tina has even claimed to have a fashion line called “Wannawear” that Brad had invested for her. She had a boutique store in Beverly Hills – pretty much the best set up for a fashion entrepreneur to make it big. Tina claims that her store was so successful that she had so many famous people wearing her clothes. She also claims that she was so successful at this that she got bored and no longer had the drive to continue in the fashion world. This is the pattern with Tina Hillstrom – she does enough to almost be known for something and then disappears so that you won’t know wear to find any information about her failures.
Tina Hillstrom has been called the venereal disease of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. She and her husband seem to get passed around and no one seems to know how to get rid of them. Tina takes great pleasure in scamming people by getting them to believe that she is famous or a somebody and that she will help to get them noticed and famous as well. But the truth is that Tina Hillstrom and her husband Brad are small-time trying to buy their way into the world of the famous and celebrity with Brad’s money. There is a desperation and emptiness to the two of them that would be sad if the two weren’t so annoying.
